Your committee endeavours to arrange a wide variety of event for children of all ages. If there is anything or anywhere you would like to go, then mention it to anyone on the committee and we will try and arrange it. The Christmas Party and the annual summer holiday are very popular. Our regular events are drop in sessions at Hop Skip and Jump for parent and toddler group and weekend picnics. We also try to arrange events during the major school holidays. We also have several trips to the theatre organised. See details below. Our events are open to any members of the family.

Friday Friends Group

Parents and carers who have babies or children with Down syndrome are welcome to join us for a friendly and informal weekly coffee afternoon. Meet other parents / carers and their children in the relaxed and stimulating play environment of 'Hop Skip and Jump', a play and support centre designed for children with special needs. 12.00- 2.00 pm every Friday. Saturday Sports Sessions

We have re-started the sports sessions, but with a different set-up from before. Now parents can sit in the coffee area to watch their children- rather than standing at the back of the hall. This gives us a better opportunity for parents to talk, and the children were more inclined to join in. The sessions are held at St Paul’s Sports Academy, M32 Bristol, from 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm, the cost is £2.75 per child. The sessions are for children with Down’s Syndrome over the age of 8 and their siblings.  Please contact Jane Yeoman 0117 904 2807 for more information.

Theatre Trips

Through contacts in many of Bristol's Theatre we are able to get some significant discounts to some spectacular shows. Consequently, some shows we get very little notice to book them and then there are usually very limited numbers of seats available. We will endevour to keep this page up to date.
